Knee Steroid Injection for Pain
$200 per treatment.
This procedure is used to treat pain in the knees, typically from arthritis. This order includes a single knee injection using steroid. There are other options for treating knee pain, including injection of Synvisc (Hyaluronic acid), or platelet rich plasma (PRP). Non-medication treatments include radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the sensory nerves around the knee. These, and other treatments are offered at Paradigm Health.
What’s included:
This order includes a single knee injection for pain using local anesthetic and steroid.
A pre-screening visit with the physician.
We may use ultrasound or fluoroscopy x-ray to ensure the accuracy of needle placement
Pre-procedure requirements:
Must be able to hold blood thinner medications for 5-7 days before the procedure.
Must not have an active infection, or being treated for an infection (on antibiotics).
Must bring a driver.
We will confirm blood glucose levels are appropriate in individuals with diabetes (must be <200 g/dl or the procedure will be rescheduled).
