SynVisc ONE Injection for Knee Pain

This procedure is used to treat pain in the knees, typically from arthritis. SYNVISC is a viscosupplement injection that supplements the fluid in your knee to help lubricate and cushion the joint, and can provide up to six months of osteoarthritis knee pain relief with three injections.

There are other options for treating knee pain, including injection of steroid or platelet rich plasma (PRP). Non-medication treatments include radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the sensory nerves around the knee. These, and other treatments are offered at Paradigm Health.

What’s included:

  • This order includes a single knee injection for pain using local anesthetic and SynVisc ONE.

  • A pre-screening visit with the physician.

  • We may use ultrasound or fluoroscopy x-ray to ensure the accuracy of needle placement

Pre-procedure requirements:

  • Must be able to hold blood thinner medications for 5-7 days before the procedure.

  • Must not have an active infection, or being treated for an infection (on antibiotics).

  • Must bring a driver.
